Top-class talents, embryos and a Merry Christmas atmosphere at Suus Kuyten Auctions
Christmas will have acquired an extra dimension when you have visited the Suus Kuyten Auctions. After last year’s successful Christmas edition, the Grand Prix rider has again prepared for her own live and online auction at her stables in Eemnes. On Tuesday 19 December she will auction a highly interesting mix of ten 3-yr-old showjumping horses, ten experienced jumpers ranging from 4- to 6-yr-olds and four embryos.
Last year’s edition was talked about for a long time after. A super atmosphere, a jolly Xmas vibe, plenty of entertainment and many bids on the horses. This year Suus Kuyten and her partner Harrie Wiering and their team will do it again! “Last year we had our first auction in September, combined with the opening of the new stables, followed by the Christmas edition. Now latter auction will become a standard fixture. This I really want to grow into and in order to do so, I have selected my best young horses”, she says.
Tried out
All the auction horses and embryos are owned by Suus Kuyten. “That is our strong point, I believe. We know them very well, know how they were trained, we have been very strict in our selections and we have tried them out ourselves. Whether you are looking for a licensed stallion, a good competition horse, a great hunter or horse for an amateur, you will find them in this auction. I hope that with a collection such as this one we can build up our reputation.”
Good references are provided by the horses auctioned last year. The 9-yr-old Jamal E.B. (Action Breaker) has even been started at 1.55m Grand Prix level by Amber Bekhuis.
“And I can mention many more. Almost all the buyers have profited by the horses, sold them for a good price or are still very happy with them”, according to Suus Kuyten. “And they will also be happy with the new collection! We offer some horses that are already doing well at international level, some have jumped fine rounds in the Belgian Cycle and some have scored good results here in the Netherlands. The embryos are all out of excellent mares lines.”
Stallions
For instance, the BWP-licensed stallion Ruby DC (Kashmir Van Schuttershof) jumped impressively in Gorla Minore, finished in second place in the finals for 6-yr-olds and also displayed his incredible scope a Master jumping. The 4-yr-old Zangersheide-licensed stallion Tonto van het Lindehof (Darco) was already remarkable during his selection, a very handsome dark bay stallion that attracted many eyes already at the shows. The 6-yr-old Romeo (Kaiser van het Lambroeck), bred out of a 1.55/1.60m Grand Prix mare and successful in the Belgian Cycle, is one of the favourites.
Most of the horses have very interesting pedigrees, such as the 3-yr-old AES-licensed stallion Ochuelo de Muze (Carthago), a son of the valuable broodmare Azuela de Muze. The 3-yr-old stallion Chocolatier van de Heffinck (Chacco Blue) out of the line of the Olympic showjumping horse Romeo 88 is the full brother to the KWPN-licensed stallion U-Rock van de Heffinck. For fans of the colored horses we have the coloured 3-yr-old Uricas van de Bisschop (Uricas van de Kattevennen), an eyecatcher who can also jump very well.
The 5- and 6-yr-old competition horses can be tried out by arrangement.
