Suus Kuyten creates Christmas atmosphere for second auction

Anyone who has not caught the Christmas mood in two weeks’ time, should not miss the Christmas auction from Suus Kuyten. For the second time this year the Grand Prix rider organizes her own auction. “The first edition in September was great and the horses sold are doing very well at their new owners. But I have many more good horses for sale and I am really looking forward to Christmas. We combine this on Tuesday 20 December”, she says, enthusiastically.

The Christmas auction will take place in her beautiful indoor arena in Eemnes, but it will not look at all like the previous elite auction. “No VIP, but tables and stand-up tables for the guests, you can sit where you want. I also bought a ridiculous amount of Christmas ornaments”, laughs Suus Kuyten. “It will be a real Christmas in Eemnes! And we have the performance of Etienne, previously singer of the famous pub Bolle Jan in Amsterdam.”

Young showjumping horses and embryos
Suus Kuyten can hardly wait and, of course, hopes for the interest in the horses. “I have ten 3-yr-olds and three 4-yr-old jumpers and five embryos, either frozen or already implanted. All the horses are saddle-broken and have a video on the website. I have some really interesting embryos, such as a Chacco Blue out of a daughter of Jenna van ’t Meulenhof, the full sister to Emerald, a Tobago Z x Heartbreaker and an Emerald out of the damline of Ta Belle van Sombeke.”

Two auction horses already gained some show experience: Next Generation (Cabachon x Eurocommerce Washington), bred out of Suus’ former international showjumping mare Osaka, is jumping at 1.10m level and Narcos JS (Diamant de Semilly x Cero I) is started at 1.00m level. The remarkable dun Café au Lait with Irish bloodlines is ready to go to his first show.

Licensed stallion
One of the 3-yr-old showjumping horses is even an AES-licensed stallion, the powerfully jumping Texas van de Bisschop (Chacfly PS x Air Jordan Alpha Z), bred out of an 8-yr-old 1.45m level showjumping mare. The pedigrees of the showjumping horses are extremely interesting. For example, the 3-yr-old Twilight van de Bisschop (Opium JW van de Moerhoeve x Elvis ter Putte) comes from the damline of the famous Fragance de Chalus, dam of Bamako de Muze and Mylord Carthago.

The bidding on the horses starts on Tuesday 20 December both live, by telephone or online.
